Kijevo Šviatyšino rajono teismas nuteisė buvusį teisėją Olexijų Tandyrą 9 metams kalėjimo už motorinį transporto priemonės vairavimą alkoholinis intoksikacijos būsena, dėl kurio Žemaitės sargybos karys Vaidimas Bondarenko žuvo. Teismas nuteisė jį pagal Kriminalinio kodekso 286-1 straipsnio 3 dalį, taip pat 10 metams uždraudė užimti teisėjo pareigas ir įsakino iš „Tandyr“ vykdyti 40 mln. grynų kompensaciją žuvusiojo šeimai.

On the night of 26 May 2023, roughly three minutes before the curfew began, Olexijus Tandiras was driving a Lexus ES350 on Berezesteiskyi Prospekt in Kyiv while intoxicated. At a checkpoint on the road from the Zhytomyr highway, his vehicle struck 22-year-old National Guard soldier Vaidimas Bondarenko, who was on duty. Bondarenko suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. An examination found that Tandiras began braking only immediately before the collision, rather than early enough as required by the road signs, and the car was travelling at 100 km/h. The DBR completed 18 examinations, including forensic medical, chemical and automotive technical examinations, which confirmed his intoxication, excessive speed and violations of road-sign requirements. After the collision, Tandiras refused an intoxication examination and attempted to substitute water and saliva for his biological samples. The court convicted him under Part 3 of Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced him to nine years in prison.
